We would like to formally introduce Anthony Paolucci, the owner founder and hands on operator of Apollo Electric.
Anthony entered the electrical trade right out of high school when he joined the Cleveland Ohio IBEW Local Union #38 in 1998 at the age of 19. He was accepted into the inside wireman 5-year apprenticeship program. After completing and becoming a Union Master Electrician in 2003, Anthony then opted to put himself back into an additional 3-year Union Apprenticeship Program. That additional apprenticeship gave him the skills and certification in low voltage, tele-data and fire alarm work. For the next 12 years Anthony worked large scale commercial electric contracts for a commercial electrical company, Ullman Electric, in Cleveland Ohio. To this day Anthony still reaches out to Ron Ullman, owner of Ullman Electric, we he has challenging situations and needs confirmation and/or advise. Ron has been much help to Anthony over the years and has certainly been a needed mentor. Anthony eventually climbed the ladder, while working for Ullman Electric and became the foreman on many large commercial projects managing up to 50+ men at a time doing new/ground-up/renovations on high rise hotels, hospitals, corporate headquarters, airports and a variety of other commercial projects all within the Greater Cleveland Ohio Area. In 2015 Anthony and his young family moved to Key West and at that time accepted a position as the Electrical Inspector for the City of Key West, he trained under the tutelage of Terry Richardson, the much respected and long time lead inspector for Key West Building Department. Through training and obtaining his State of FL Electrical Inspector License and his State of FL Electrical Plans Examiner License, Anthony has become proficient at navigating the permitting system and he is always up to date on all electrical codes! His relationships created and knowledge gained by working at the City of Key West’s Building Department have given Apollo Electric a real head start for sure. Anthony is very proud of his time spent being the Key West Electrical Inspector and he still keeps his badge proudly displayed on his desk today! In 2018 Anthony was offered a very prestigious position by the US Government as an inspector in the engineering department for the US Navy. His job was to inspect all federal military buildings from Orlando to the Bahamas. What an incredible accomplishment and his family was extremely proud. In 2020 Anthony decided to study and work on obtaining his State of Florida Master Electrical Contracting License. He studied and passed all exams on the very first try! Creating Apollo Electric was a big accomplishment. Apollo has grown very quickly due to the skilled trade work performed and relationships created. As of 2024 Apollo Electric has a 10 truck local team. Apollo is also the first electrical contractor based in the Florida Keys to be a IBEW signatory local union company. This Union connection gives Apollo unlimited access to skilled union electricians when needed out of the Miami, FL Local IBEW Union. So far this year Apollo Electric has been awarded over 20 government contracts alone, which keeps coming steadily in as the quality work is being proven. They are up by over 100% this year in regards to commercial and residential contracts. Anthony’s business plan is to keep Apollo at the size it is now and does not want to comprise the quality of work being performed. Our company motto is and has always been ; “Quality of work over Quantity of clients”
